Clay was born in Orville, Washington in 1940. He was admitted to the California bar in 1972 and the North Carolina bar in 1978. Admitted to courts: 1979, U.S. Supreme Court and U.S. District Court, Eastern District of North Carolina.
Clay practices law in the following areas: personal injury litigation, wrongful death and arbitrations.
He attended the University of Colorado (B.A., 1963); Hastings College of Law (J.D., 1972).
Clay retired as a Major from the United States Marine Corps in 1978 after 20 years of service. He spent his last two years in the Marine Corps serving as a Special Courts Martial Judge with the JAG Corps.

Ken practices law in the following areas: workers' compensation, personal injury litigation, wrongful death, trials in state and federal courts and arbitrations. He is a board certified workers' compensation specialist through the North Carolina State Bar. Mr King was recently appointed to a three year term on the North Carolina Bar Association Workers' Compensation Section Council. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (B.S. 1983); Mercer University (J.S. cum laude, 1986); Naval Justice School, Newport, Rhode Island (graduated with honors, 1987).
